Lekas, PA-C

Jim Lekas joined the staff of Georgia
Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in 1998. A native of Florida, Jim attended
Indian River Community College and received his Bachelor of Science degree
from the University of Florida in 1985. For the next four years, he worked
in the University's Nephrology Division as a biological scientist conducting
kidney research, maintaining a microperfusion, enzyme and cell culture laboratory.
He attended the physician assistant program at the University of Florida
receiving a Bachelor of Health Science in 1992. After completing his Physician
Assistant degree, Jim worked 6 years in Tallahassee with a Mohs surgeon
specializing in skin cancer detection and treatment. At Georgia Dermatology,
Jim performs all types of skin cancer surgery, including CO2 laser surgery.
Jim is certified by the NCCPA (National
Commission on Certification
of Physician Assistants) and is a member of the Georgia Academy of Physician
Assistants and the Dermatology Society of PAs.
A self-proclaimed sports fanatic, Jim enjoys just about
all team sports.
